Description

Xesta has once again surprised us with a lure that stands out for its careful design and originality. Xesta’s Black Hawk is a lure halfway between a Tai Rubber Head and a Light Rock Fishing Jig. It has the shape and size of a cuttlefish offspring, addressing small predators feeding near the bottom.

The jig head is made of a hybrid material that combines a sinker, with floating resins, at a perfect balance. As a result the Xesta Black Hawk descents in a horizontal position and lands in the bottom in a way that the hooks are always facing upwards. This way accidental tangles are avoided. The most important benefit of the upwards swimming posture though, is that the angler can retrieve the jig and feel the bottom structure.

The upper part of the head has a sharp shape, to generate turbulence when moving, which translates into a vibratory movement of the flaps and the live bait, one might rig onto the single assist hook. The Xesta Black Hawk generates a movement very similar to that of small crustaceans that move through the bottom and represent a prized bite for a large number of predators.

The assist hook is of small size, so it can be sucked fully and easily by the prey. It is rigged with a double ring and an extra wide ring, that helps the hook to always keep the tip as vertical as possible. The hook is strong and developed by Owner Cultiva.

Should you decide to add a little extra on the assist hook, this can be a silicone bait, a biodegradable, live worm, or crab bait, like the Marukyu Isome. It can also used directly with the hook, as the skirts attract the attention of predators.

Available in two weights of 5 and 7 gr so they can be fished either with Light Rock Fishing, or Light Shore Jigging techniques.
