The Grappler Slow J Jigging rod has a more parabolic curve, than most conventional jigging rods, giving the angler greater control over the motion of the jig. Shimano developed the Grappler Slow J to fish with thin braid and leader, to ensure there is a fluid connection between your rod movements and the jig.

Utilizing Shimanos highest performing rod blank technologies, such as Spiral X and Hi-Power X in the same rod, the Grappler Slow Jigging blank is 250% more structurally rigid and 180% less prone to twisting than standard blank construction. Hi-Power X is a carbon fiber tape which is wrapped around the outside of the blank in a spiral construction. This makes the rod stronger, stiffer and removes twist completely. With high cost performance, the Hi-Power X blanks eliminate any discomfort, resulting from high twisting loads.
